It was so nice yesterday that me and Gail decided to grab the rods and go down to the ponds. Tried the woods pond first and didn't get a bite, so we moved to the newer pond. I decided to try a jig under a bobber and started getting bites. Finally pulled in a pretty nice crappie and had another get off. The trick was to just cast out and let is set, I never had a bite when the bait was moving. Gail got skunked.

That's a dandy!! Any ice forming down that way or has it been too windy like here?

That's a dandy!! Any ice forming down that way or has it been too windy like here? It's dark when I go to work and dark when I get off, so I'm not sure. After today I'm off for a week and will definitely be checking it out.

Thanks! Not as windy today so maybe it will start building some ice up this way soon.
