Went to spot X somewhere below Norway Dam to start out the afternoon in search of stripes and walleye. Started out with a G&G Mini Chub and then switched to crankbaits tried various colors of each no takers. I thought I know there are fish here so I went and got some minnows. Minnows could not buy a bite, I tied on a Northland Mimic Minnow and wham they were blowing it out of the water! Caught my limit of white bass (aka silvers) a 19inch smallie and snagged a quilback this fish was returned to the water per snag law. Great time out there today, and I did this on my Ultralight so it was lots of fun! After the bite fell off I headed out to the lower dam Oakdale to see if anything was stirring there no fish, but I got some pics of the dam and the new spillway.

Real close to a dam outlet in high water. Seems to bring all the fish up there and like Forrest Gump, "You never know what you gonna get".

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
