My son Jack comes up to me this afternoon and wanted to go fishing. I didn't think we would do any good, do to the bluebird skys. But what the heck, so we loaded up the truck and went anyways. We went to a local lake and started casting thumper jigs and he landed a decent bass right off the bat. A little later he says he's got another one and says "it's a big one dad, oh man!" So I walk over by him and see his ultra lite is bent pretty good and think it's just another bass, until it finally comes to the surface and see those marble eyes starring at me. He worked it like a champ! All I did was take the hook out for him he did all the rest. I'm super proud of him to say the least! It ended up being 18-/12" and after a quick pick we released him to get bigger.
