Dad and me went up to Raccoon early yesterday to get in some fishing before the rain moved in. We were trolling 1oz jigs and stopped a couple times to cast. I brought along some of our musky baits to try on the stripers, but no takers. There was a lot more boats than I expected, probably 20 or more on the water. A pontoon was also trolling for stripes....looked like everyone else was crappie fishing and we didn't see anyone catch a fish. I was WAY under dressed. Shorts and a couple shirts and it was windy, cloudy, and didn't get out of the 50's. I could of swore the weatherman was calling for lower 70's. It took me until about halftime of the Bears game to get warmed up. Water temp was 67. We didn't get skunked, but it was close. I told dad out on the water that it was a striper, but actually it was a white bass. I forgot it's the BACK tooth patch that you look at on the tongue.
