I saw this bear in a field behind our house today I got him on video too, but I had problems uploading it. I saw a bear in our drive way a few years back. Arkansas has a bear season but I've never seen one while hunting. Our deer feeder we have has holes in it from bears knocking them over and trying to get to the corn. I saw that it was on its side after he left hopefully he didn't tear it up to bad this time. He might get get an arrow sent through him if I get lucky this October sorry about the quality it was taken from a phone at 150+ yards

Wow, is it rare to see bear in Arkansas? I really hope you get a shot at him. Hopefully your next post about this bear has pics of you holding him.

Pretty cool. Say you do get a shot and you take him, what do you do with a bear besides tan the hide? Not against hunting them, just not sure what I'd do with it. Bear stew?

Well, I honestly don't know, but me and my dad know a guy that hunts bears. So if that time comes, we'll just call him and get all the info we need. And to answer bubbagill's question, it's not like we don't have a healthy population ,but bears are very stealthy like a bobcat. At one time our neighbor had trail camera pics of three different bears and one had a few cubs. And many people around here claim to have encountered a mountain lion

I'm sure there are a ton of recipes out there for bear meat.
