Chase is done with school for the summer and I'm finally off work so it was time to hit the water. I wanted to fish for muskie, Chase wanted to fish for blue cats, so we compromised and fished for stripers. Made the 1 hour drive up 59 early this morning. Pulled live bluegill around 'til about noon and then trolled umbrella rigs for a couple hours. No luck. That happens when your chasing the big ones though. The lake is still about 6' over summer pool and stained with surface temps 73 warming to 77.

After the state record was caught there, I seen several boats every day trolling for strippers. I'm surprised there are any left.

you guys were up there by Justin then. (jsanders) thats where he works. We kept hearing a chainsaw running and I asked Chase; "I wonder if that's Justin?" Looked like they had it cleaned up pretty good.

I rode the bike up to Cagel's yesterday evening after work. The lake is still up pretty high. The tailwater was REALLY flowing. LOTS of cold air coming off the water. (BRRRRR) I'll be glad when the water level gets to summer pool, and I can get started on some fishing.

When I read the thread title I thought you came across some rare animal cross breeding! A raccoon skunk
