Merom Fishing

Today we went to Merom to do some fishing. Yeah, I know it's deer season. But get on Sam because he's the one that wanted to go, and I've already got my buck. We got their a little after one and fished until sunset. We caught quite a few catfish and a few carp that we got on corn.

Thanks Brutom for telling us how to catch those carp! We'll have a video soon, as soon as I edit out all of catfishsam's fatboydan imitations. "Hey, this is catfishsam, we're just out here drinkin beer and catchin some fish."

I think a good time was had by all. Sorry you were too sick to go, Booey. We'll get back out there sometime. I think all the cats we kept to release in the creek made it home, but may not have made it into the creek. I wiped out walking down the bank and fell in the creek! The bucket hit the ground and spilled, but I think they all flopped into the water. Sam didn't even laugh (out loud anyway ). I think he thought I was hurt.

That's a place were you're just about for sure to catch some carp...but big ones are pretty few and far between.

Still, they're always good fun to catch 'em.

Nice pics and videos guys!!! Way to go! I usually stop at that spot to cast net shad and small carp on my way to the Wabash there at Merom.
