A buddy at work and myself have decided to start keeping a rod 'n reel in our trucks in case the "need to fish" arises during the work week. Last night was one of those occasions. We stopped at Fowler Park in Vigo County and did a little casting with jigs and small spinners. We fished the pit that's on the hill west of the main lake and I caught 4 "keeper" 'gills and my buddy caught the skunk(sorry Jim .) You can see what's on my brain this fall....I took a pic of some shrooms instead of any fish! I believe these are Amanita muscaria, commonly known as the fly agaric or fly amanita.....not good to eat.....but maybe a keeper for those that hunt shrooms for other purposes.

The picture isn't showing up on my end.
Is Fowler the place where they stock the trout?

Is Fowler the place where they stock the trout? No, I can't remember the name of that park, but I know it's on the north side of TH. Fowler Park is a Vigo County park south of Terre Haute....... Fowler Fishing.
