I saw this tonite on "When Vacations Attack" on the Travel Channel. Since it was in Indiana I thought I'd post it. I've also heard these "invaders" are really good to eat. Maybe we should start fishing for these things!!!!

thats pretty neat but looks more like a nuisance. looks like they bleed easy too. i like the idea of shooting them like clay pigeons but not in a moving boat.

I think that carp video's been a daily random before. Definitely a classic. Here's a video on cleaning them. I don't know if it'd be worth it! Bet they make good fertilizer though.

A guy made a tuna salad type thing out of carp one time. It tasted really good. He said cut the white meat out and throw the rest away. He also said it helps to put it in a smoker for a bit before you try cooking it.

He also said it helps to put it in a smoker for a bit before you try cooking it. That probably relates to the common carp. My understanding is that the asian carp is totally different from the common carp as far as the meat is concerned. But I do not know for sure

I thought this was a cool method that I didn't know about to quickly repair a backlashed baitcaster.

It works too. I used it once over the summer when my friend screwed one of mine up real bad, worked like a charm.
