I should have my 3rd Arm Elite Extreme by this Friday. I can't wait!
Hey runtandstrut, what camera are you using? What is your budget for a fluid head? Perhaps I could suggest one based on that information.

I had emailed Scott Extreme on a Saturday, I told them that I had heard about the 3rd Arm via the Bellbucksnbeards website forum and provided a link. They called me back on Monday and I placed my order for the Elite Extreme. I put in a good word for the Bell Boys. I'm glad that they took notice of Chases Video Tutorial. I think it was great!
I just received my arm on Friday late afternoon. I did manage to snap a couple of quick photos, but I have not yet taken it to the woods to really test it out yet. My camera weighs in at 10 lbs and that is not including the Manfrotto 503 fluid head or the Manfrotto 458 Leveler. I'll try to get some better pics in the future. I was running late for a meeting when I snapped these in a hurry Friday Evening.

No problem! It was my pleasure. You guys deserve some credit for a job well done. I will give a better field review after I put some time in with this new arm. Thanks for the compliment.

| | 3rd Arm Mini « Reply #14 on Nov 20, 2009, 1:49pm » | |
I tried out the 3rd Arm Mini this morning. This little thing is SWEET! This is the camera arm we'll now be using for self-filming hunts, and when using a 2 camera setup. You simply grab the Joystick, put the camera in the position you want it, and it stays right there. I even grabbed it today and pointed it straight up at some geese that were flying over head and the camera stayed right in position. This camera arm is going to make life so much easier when trying to video hunts all by yourself!
From 3rd Arm: The 3rd Arm Mini is great for running multiple cameras to capture that all important second camera angles in a tree stand setup, or it can also be used for filming your own hunts or your favorite hunting buddy. The 3rd Arm Mini is designed to quickly fold up into an 11” unit for easy packing in and out of the deer woods, however, when in use the Mini can be extended out to a full 24” for a full range of videoing. The 3rd Arm Mini is available in two models: The T-Bolt or the Strap-on. As it's name indicates, the T-Bolt Mini has a screw in t-bolt for fast, easy set-up. After screwing in the t-bolt securely, simply attach the Mini arm to the t-bolt and then attach your camera to the universal camera plate. The Strap-on Mini comes with a specially designed clip that ratchets to the tree with a small ratchet strap. After securely ratcheting the clip to the tree, attach the Mini arm in the same fashion as the T-Bolt model. Both models are equipped with a unique Point & Video design called the Joystick. The Joystick's Unique design allows for 360° rotation. Simply grab, point, and video – It's That Easy! Camera weight not to exceed 2 pounds.
