"With recent changes in the law it sounds like most exotic species are now protected and no longer fair game in Indiana. Guess you could only shoot the cougar in self defense. ;)"

I swear officer, it was all the way across the field, but it was coming for me!! I had to defend myself(= :) :) :)

It's funny how things go around so quick. My P.E. teacher brought in the same pic saying it was from Odon the day Randy posted it.

with the size of the deer population, we need more big predators to help keep them under control.

IT like this , The DNR might have turned some of these animals loose . But in reality the coyotes , cougars and even some hogs have traveled here from other states. Cougars are over abundant out west and are expanding there territory . A male cougar will travel 150 miles just to find a mate and food . Now we all know some people are stupid and once in awhile turns one loose . But in all actuallity there has been sighting of cougars in St Joesph,Wabash, Huntington, Park, Green Co's, and so on . Heck I 've even hear of a black bear running around the ohio river co's. But heck rules or not that thing come close to me and its dead . its bad enough that we have to worry about the yotes ,dont need another predator.
